The theme - of an alien life-form coming to earth to save it from human beings and then changing its mind - is not new. It was used in "The Abyss" earlier, I think. But still, I liked "The Day The Earth Stood Still". It feels good to watch people coming together to fight for their existence, to be willing to change, to make amends, to try to heal the planet that we all call 'Home' - at least in reel life. :-(

Must say Keanu Reeves is best suited to play an alien - he can keep a poker face throughout and not be accused of not acting ;-)
