Supernatural, S12, E15
I am not quite sure why the series' writers keep showing Dean as someone who can be easily fooled. It was incomprehensible how he swallows Sam's mambo-jumbo about writing a computer program to find cases hook, line and sinker. Definitely not happening. C'mon guys, he is not that dumb.
But there is no denying the fact that the writers have managed to pack in quite a few subplots in this episode. First off, I am relieved, mightily if I may add so, that Sam has told Dean he has been working secretly with the Brits. And I am happier that Dean didn't go through the roof destroying everything in sight in his rage on hearing it. On the whole, he took it pretty well. More like what Sam would have done if the shoe were on the other foot. Then, the whole episode of Lucifer being freed by two of Crowley's men. I prayed (isn't this ironic?) the whole time hoping that Crowley is really 10 steps ahead as he claimed to be. It was hugely satisfying to see Lucifer on his knees. The guy gives me the creeps. That said, I am uneasy about the fact that neither the Winchesters nor Castiel know what Crowley has done to Lucifer. And that's going to come back to bite everyone in the *** one fine day. Lastly, Castiel seems to have finally stumbled on to the fact that Kelly is being protected by Dagon. But I do hope that he doesn't take the angel's offer to forever return to Heaven.
As far as the main case goes, I expected Sam to quote from the 'Hound Of The Baskervilles' while explaining to Gwen just what it is that is after her life. But no such luck. Probably Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books were not the required reading in his school. I bet Mike Davies would have had no trouble recalling the famous case. I wonder where they got the spectacles that enabled them to see the hound in question. Probably came from the Brits - I can almost see a bespectacled Q working on the nifty gadgets somewhere in London. I am not sure why Crowley decided to join the hunt for Ramsey though. His explanation for the same sounded pretty lame. Maybe he was aware of the plot by his minions and wanted to give them a chance to carry out their little scheme so he could humiliate Lucifer. Gwen did answer one of my long-standing questions though - Lucifer is the Devil. Got it. Oh, and I swear I would have killed the hellhound myself for damaging the sexy Impala - whether I had the angle blade or not. I love that car.
Finally, based on all the handsome and cute angels that have been featured in all the seasons so far, I cannot wait to see what Joshua looks like ;-)

Okay, here is a question. Even if the British Men of Letters succeed in wiping out all the vampires in America, who is to guarantee that more won't pour in there from the rest of the world? I am not quite sure if President Trump is going to build a wall to keep the vampires out as well. :-)
I wasn't too happy to see Sam walking in the British Men of Letters' base. And I was more worried when Arthur Ketch visited Dean. Mick Davies seems harmless enough but there is something definitely off about this Ketch guy. He looks psychotic......even for a hunter. And somehow he seems intent on separating the Winchesters. I suspect he has an agenda that even Davies is unaware of. Whatever be the case, it wasn't amusing to see the whole place guarded by only a couple of guards. Over-confidence never pays, does it? And the Brits seemed to have forgotten to train the techies even in the basics of self-defense. They went down without a fight.
Wonder how the Alpha Vampire (I couldn't quite recollect which season I had seen him in last) couldn't figure out that Sam had got the Colt armed with the silver bullet. It is uncharacteristic of a Winchester to leave someone to fend for himself or herself. So he should have seen through the whole 'I don't care what you do to the Brit' charade.

परवा संध्याकाळी एका मैत्रिणीचा व्होट्सएपवर मेसेज आला....अगदी अर्जंट - रफार आणि रकार मधला फरक काय. नाही म्हटलं तरी मी थोडी उडालेच. कोणाकडून काय मेसेज यावेत ह्याचे आपले काही ठोकताळे असतात. ही मैत्रीण मूळची दाक्षिणात्य. लग्न केलंय गुजरात्याशी. हिच्याकडून अशी विचारणा झाल्यावर १-२ सेकंद मला काही कळेचना. मग हा 'रकार' काय आहे ते कळेना. तरी तिला 'रफार' म्हणजे काय ते सांगितलं. आणि मग विचारलं की तुला 'रकार' म्हणजे काय ते हवंय का? उत्तरादाखल एक छोटी इमेज आली. त्यात सिलेबसचा काही भाग होता. त्यात एक ओळ होती - रकार आणि रफार. आता ही काय मराठीची परीक्षा देतेय काय? विचारलंच. तर म्हणाली लेकीची परिक्षा आहे, ती आणि मी परिक्षेच्या आदल्या दिवशीच अभ्यास करतो. तरी मला अजून रकाराची भानगड लक्षात येत नव्हती. शेवटी समस्त लज्जा त्यजुनी 'मला माहीत नाही' असं सांगून मोकळी झाले आणि गुगलमहाराजांना शरण गेले. काय गम्मत आहे पहा. आपल्याच लिपिबद्दल माहिती मिळवायला गुगलची मदत घ्यावी लागली. ३-४ साईट्स धुंडाळल्यावर 'प्र' मधला 'मोडका र' म्हणजे 'रकार' हा साक्षात्कार जाहला. मग मैत्रिणीला मेसेज केला. बहुतेक तोवर तिला उत्तर मिळालं असावं. तरी तिचा Thanks चा मेसेज आला.
पण मला अजूनही लाज वाटत होती. म्हटलं बाई ग, शाळा सोडून इतकी वर्षं झाली, व्याकरणाचा आणि माझा संबंध नाही. तिनेही 'जाने दो' वगैरे म्हटलं.
तरी मी अजून दुग्ध्यात आहे - रफार म्हणजे काय हे मला लक्षात असायला हवं होतं का?
