The latest episode of season 9 (that was aired after what looked like an eternity!) turned out to be a mixed bag of goodies. On the positive side, Castiel getting back into his angel avatar (though sans wings!) as against a clueless angel walking in a human form was a sight for the sore eyes. I had especially come to hate his stupid grin! And of course, it was heartening to see Gadreel getting cast out of Sam. For a moment there I was afraid that the fight between Crowley and Gadreel is going to tear Sam to pieces.
But it was painful to watch a recap of Kevin getting dispatched :-( The poor kid really got a raw deal. Plus, if what Metatron says is to be believed, then we are unlikely to see any more prophets making a grand appearance anytime soon. So much so for recruitment in the 'Good Guys' camp. Looks like at least for now, Sam, Dean and Castiel are on their own. Speaking of the good guys, it was disappointing to watch Crowley walk free. That said, a confession is in order :-) It is getting difficult to hate this king of demons - after all he does keep his promises and has a sense of humor I wouldn't have expected in someone who has been through hell. :-)
However, I didn't quite get why Dean had to walk away from Sam at the end of the episode. They work better as a team and I seriously hope that they get back together soon and punish Metatron for creating all this mess.
BTW, are we likely to see God coming back to heaven anytime this season? :-)
