Just what in the God's name is wrong with Indian politicians? Now we have Mani Shankar Aiyar who says that he will be happy if the Commonwealth Games are a fiasco. It's true that the playgrounds for children are shrinking by the day in this country but does he honestly believe that if the Rs 35000 Crores hadn't been spent on the games, they would have been utilized to build such infrastructure? The booty would have most likely ended up in some minister's offshore bank account. Is that what he is lamenting about?

Does this guy even realize how stupid he is being when he says that "Basically, I will be very unhappy, if the Games are successful because then they will start bringing Asian Games, Olympic Games and all these"? No one in his or her right mind would want to bring Olympic Games to India given the haphazard preparation the country is doing for the Commonwealth Games.

With leaders like these, India doesn't need China and Pakistan to sabotage her, does she? :-(
