Book fair at Sunderbai Hall

Are you one of those who would be perfectly at home if left alone in a library over the weekend? Then head over to Sunderbai Hall near Marine Lines. Ashish Book Center has a book fair there from 15 April to 28 April - 9am to 8pm. Lots of books to choose from and at very affordable prices. I got 3 of Agatha Christie's books at Rs 100 each - not to mention other 3-4 books for a another Rs 500. Simply a steal :-)

Ever wondered about Noah's ark? Check the modern one in Hongkong at http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123966767906515339.html. Apparently, there is another one in the Netherlands too. Noah would have been spoilt for choice in this century :-)

Here we go again: the ET Brand Equity panel finds Samsung antakshari ad "BEkaar" but I like it. The ET panel thinks antakshari was over in last century but whosoever said things once considered old never make it back to fashion again? :-)

I think the new Vodafone ad of "Be the star of the cricket match" is more entertaining than the IPL matches - right down to its background score :-)

And I simply hate the new "My Airtel My Offer" ad featuring Vidya Balan and Madhavan. I think she is right when she says that he should send SMS selectively. It would be romantic to send messages when you are away from each other. But wasting money when you are in plain sight of each other is nothing short of stupidity. I have a good reply to his "pyaar me cutback nahi hone chahiye" - "I am glad you said that. So when are we going to buy that diamond set I told you about eons ago? Oh, and while we are at it, let's book our Mauritius vacation as well!"
