This one looked like the writers have finally found a perfect way to weave a tale combining a case and the ongoing saga of Lucifer vs. the rest of the world. Though I must admit that I found it a bit hard to stomach that the angels didn't do their own due diligence before dispatching Akobel and allowing Ishim to get rid of Lily's daughter May. It was equally difficult to believe that an angel can be summoned by a human - no matter how deep her study.
That said, I was glad Sam kept his head and found that Lily had a different story to tell. Dean increasingly has started behaving like the proverbial bull in a China shop.
