Sometimes you come across articles that, well, just stump you. You don't know whether to laugh at the banality of the author or to cry because such an idiot was allowed to put something online. Take for example, this article on TOI's site - Salman, SRK or Abhishek as Lord Krishna?
And the writer's justification for selecting these 3 people as the top contenders? Sample this:
Shah Rukh Khan - The baadshah of romance is witty, charismatic and intelligent. SRK will do complete justice in bringing alive the romantic nature that Lord Krishna was known for.
Salman Khan - Salman has had a colourful past with a string of affairs with his heroines. This would help the audience to connect with this dashing actor as Krishna. Also his muscular body will be apt in fighting the demons or lifting the Govardhana hill with his finger.
Abhishek Bachchan - From what we hear, junior B is supposed to be quite a prankster on the sets. With his dark good looks and an excellent comic timing, Abhishek will be able to do complete justice in bring alive Krishna's playful nature to the fore.
I believe that there are a couple of discourses on Bhagwad Geeta in the city on occasion of Janmashtami. Someone please ask this lady to attend at least one of them.
I guess if the current state of the world isn't enough to convince Lord Krishna to make good on his promise of 'Sambhavami Yuge Yuge', this article might just do the trick!!
