At first I thought that Indira Jaisingh was right when she said that the word 'keep' is derogatory for women. But now I think that what is derogatory is not the word but the status itself - of having to stay with a man without marriage just to support yourself financially. That is what lowers the dignity of women. The million dollar question, Ms Jaisingh, is, what we, as a society, are willing to do to prevent this from happening?
