Corniche, Carter Road, Bandra(W)
If you are looking for an eatery that serves a different kind of meal, I would suggest that you go to this place, if you don't mind dining Al Fresco. I should know, I have been there twice last month. :-)
If you check out the menu on Zomato, it is pretty exhaustive. But if you land up there on a Sunday, as I did on both occasions, you will be surprised to find a slimmer version being handed to you. That's their Sunday Brunch menu. Trust me, you will find a lot to choose, at least on the 1-2 visits, from this 2-page selection. So what did we go for?
We ordered 2 dishes on both visits - The Londoner and The Swiss. Be sure to ask for an addition of bacon to either one. You will thank me for it!
The Londoner consisted of Eggs Benedict i.e. two halves of a toasted English Muffin, poached eggs, cream and Hollandaise sauce. There was also a side of spicy baby tomatoes. In addition to bacon, you can also ask for a side of sweet potato hash browns or spinach. I am sure that I am going to keep coming to this place for The Londoner. Simply love it!
The Swiss, as you can see, consisted of pancakes, mushrooms, egg and blue cheese. A must-try for sure.
On our 1st visit, we had also ordered The Moroccan. The only thing I remember about it is that it had too much tomato for my taste. I am unlikely to order it again on my future visits.
The same goes for the Chicken Club Sandwich. It was served after considerable delay and wasn't worth it. The sandwich at the Art House - the Fern Residency at Chembur is the best!
Valet parking is available. The staff is prompt and courteous. The dining area is comfortable when the weather is pleasant but I am not sure how it will be during the scorching Summer months of April and May. The only downside is that flies can be a bit of a nuisance since it is an open-air sitting area. I have no idea how they manage during the monsoons.
But like I said before, it has already become one of my favorite eating joints in Mumbai - both for the menu and the ambiance.

The novel by Mary Higgins Clark (yeah, yeah, another one!) that I am currently reading has references to the following authors who have written books on reincarnation. I hope one day in future I will be able to check them out.

Let Me Call You Sweetheart - by Mary Higgins Clark (Spoiler Alert!)
I have decided to read all novels by Mary Higgins Clark that the library stocks. And only then turn to another author :-)
Wonder why most of Clark's protagonists are females and usually from legal profession. So here we have Kerry McGrath - a well-known prosecutor who on a visit to a plastic surgeon, Dr. Smith, for treatment of her daughter Robin, sees someone whose face seems vaguely familiar. She does ask the receptionist her name but it doesn't ring any bell. On her next visit she sees the same face but this time the name is different. Kerry is rattled when she realizes that the face is eerily similar to a murder victim, Suzanne Reardon, who was killed in a fit of rage by her husband, Skip Reardon, who has been serving a life sentence for the same since past 10 years. Kerry also realizes that Dr. Smith was Suzanne's father and his testimony had been instrumental in putting Skip behind bars.
As Kerry tries to investigate the possibility that Skip could have been framed, Robin is almost run over by a car while on her way to school. Kerry's ex-husband makes it plain that the conman he is defending, Weeks, wants Kerry to back off. While Jonathan, Kerry's well-wisher lets her know in no uncertain terms that if she persists in her efforts to exonerate Reardon, she could lose an opportunity to become judge because if Reardon is proven to be innocent it would ruin chances of Kerry's boss, Frank Green, to become the next governor - given the fact that it was Green who had been a public prosecutor in the Reardon murder case.
I guess the success of any author of a murder mystery can be gauged based on how successful he or she has been in keeping the reader guessing about the murderer. Clark scores spectacularly on this front because it is only during the final few pages that we get an inkling as to who could have done it.
But even when I put the book down, I wondered when it was that Grace saw Suzanne's picture with the 'momma-and-baby' pin?

Supernatural Season 9 - Captives
I am so glad I could follow most of the episode without having to Google for any biblical references. It was aired after a gap of 2-3 weeks but must say it was worth waiting for. It was nice to see Kevin Tran again - even in spirit form. It was nice to see his mom alive and released from the clutches of Crowley's minion. It was nice to see Castiel standing up for what is right and killing Bartholomew. And it was nice to see angels getting together to follow him.
But I am mad at Sam for being so uptight. He has given Dean a piece of his mind. So why is he keeping so aloof? If he can't find it in his heart to get along with Dean, he better march off along the next fork in the road. Dean would probably be better off not working with him.
