Maybe it had a lot to do with this government's attempts at booting out German to make way for Sanskrit or to make children attend school on Christmas day, but when I first read about Niti Aayog, I seriously wondered if they are going to be responsible for formulating a model code of conduct for the citizens of India - a sort of moral police. :-) Thank God I was proven wrong! It sure is a weird name for an institution that is supposed to transform India. Just the other day I heard someone refer to a task that had been going on since a long time as a Five-Year plan (or Panchwarshik Yogana!).

I hope the Niti Aayog does a better job.
