I don't have words to express what I felt when I opened up the newspaper yesterday. On one hand, there was this heart-wrenching news of the horrific plane crash at Mangalore airport. So many - including women and children - innocent lives lost in a matter of minutes. People traveling for marriage, people traveling for funeral, people coming for vacation - and all of them must be thinking about their loved ones when the plane touched the tarmac on the tabletop runway. So many of us must have got reminded that day that this life is truly so fragile. :-(

On the other hand, there were 2 news items that made one proud to be an Indian. The first news was about 16-year old Arjun Bajpayi who became the youngest one to scale Mount Everest - even for just a few hours (A 13-year old American has that distinction now!). And the second news was about Indian Navy's Dilip Donde completing 40,000 Km journey on the sea all by himself - the first Indian and second Asian to do so. :-)

Life truly is unpredictable!
