A note to myself on future trips:
1. Trans-Siberian Railway journey - I am about to finish reading Paulo Coelho's 'Aleph' and know that I must make this train journey sometime in my life - for the sheer experience of it, though I don't, and probably won't, speak a word of Russian.
2. I have also promised myself that I will tour Italy one day. A special note to check which museum houses the wax effigy of Anna Marandi Mauzolini showing her performing brain surgery.
