Five of the seven girls who used to sit at a lunch table at Stonecroft Academy are dead over the course of twenty years. Catherine Kane in a car accident, Cindy Lang in a skiing accident, Gloria Martin in a suicide, Debra Parker in a plane crash and Alison Kendall in a drowning accident. Coincidence? Maybe. And The Owl knows about Lily, the daughter that Dr. Sheridan had to give up for adoption 18 years ago.
Detective Sam Deegan is racing against time as Laura disappears, Dr. Sheridan keeps getting faxes implying threat to her daughter and the bodies start piling on at an alarming rate. Which of their classmates is behind this? Will he be able to save the last two girls from the lunch table? Will he finally find out who killed Karen Sommers all those years ago?
