I am hopeless when it comes to remembering the products that the ads are supposed to market - unless of course there are jingles like "Washing Powder Nirma"! :-) So here's one ad of a lemon drink in which the man tasting it remembers his childhood days because the taste is exactly like that of the lime drink his mom used to make. I especially like the lines "धूप तिलमिली, धूप चिलमिली, अम्मा तेरे आँचलका सहारा हो". Sentimental fool, you say? I plead guilty as charged! :-)

The ad that makes me get up and scream at the top of my lungs every time it is aired is by Airtel - the one which talks about recording your favorite programs through mobiles. The idea that Kareena could be watching the saas-bahu sagas is laughable but it does little to alleviate the irritation that seeps into my blood every time I see her talking nineteen-to-the-dozen. I don't know about Saif but I so wish the mobile could switch her off instead :-(

When I heard about IPL match-fixing, I took it with a pinch of salt. C'mon, how can you plot and plan each ball when there are so many factors involved - the pitch, the weather, the condition of the ball and the players on both sides. Not to mention that such fixing cannot be done without the connivance of the owners - many of whom, like the Ambanis for example, are wealthy enough not to have to do such a fixing for money. I would guess that they would rather see their team win the game.

But then yesterday's match between KKR and MI is a case in point. I agree that the MI side didn't have its full arsenal of bowlers but even then such a defeat at the hands of the KKR is unthinkable. And so I have begun to suspect that maybe there is truth in this talk of match-fixing.

I am so glad that I didn't waste my hard-earned money on any match tickets. As far as the final matches go, I can always turn the TV off and go out to take a walk :-)

I am so happy that finally I have started to write on this blog in Marathi. :-) I just hope to keep up doing it :-)
