I am reading John Grisham's "The Associate" currently. At one point, the leading character Kyle goes on a boating vacation and envies their tour guide who is earning much less than him but needs even lesser.

Some of these mornings, as I am working on my laptop I remember that road out of Ooty, the small typing office on the 2nd floor of that building at the roadside and the girl darting across the road to collect a fresh stack of papers from someone - as the Nilgiris stand guard across the horizon.

How I want them to stand guard outside my window! But funnily enough, I wouldn't want the multiplexes and multi-quisine restaurants to go away. :-(
I chanced upon the cable guy's local channel the other day. It was airing one ad after another of coaching classes in the locality.

One of them that appeared as ticker was prominently advertizing its "Silent Features". I wondered for a while about this paradox - until I realized that what they meant was "Salient" features! I hope they aren't offering coaching for English language. :-)

Ah, the new Vodafone "Happy to Help" ads are just too good. I especially like the one in which that Pug steps on a squeaky toy to let the girl know when she can continue her reading at night. :-)
Seen the new Amul hoarding on the Worli-Bandra sea link? "All butter, No jam" it says. Fat Chance! So far it has been "All Clutter, All Jam"!
I cannot believe I haven't come here for past 4-5 days. There's been just too much work - it doesn't seem to end. :-(
