Supernatural, S13, E11

For a moment there, I felt as if I was watching an episode of ‘Criminal Minds’ or ‘CSI’. A lone female stopping at a lonelier gas station, creepy cashier, creepier patrons, the car breaking down in the middle of nowhere and a hooded figure kidnapping the woman. Hell, I half-expected the passing truck to reverse and stop at some distance from the girl. :-)

I should have known Agent Clegg was bad news. The FBI agents are always shown to be guarding their turf with fanatical zeal. This one was way too co-operative. And an online market for human body parts sounds rather ‘out-there’, doesn’t it? Agent Mulder would have loved it. Not sure why vampires should be capable of getting cured only if they haven’t bitten anyone yet. Did Buffy and the gang know about this? How about the folks from the Underworld? Seriously, vampires and werewolves have become garden variety monsters now. I hope there aren’t any more episodes featuring them.

Why is Sam so miserable now? Is Kaia’s death weighing on his conscience? Surely she is not the first to die on their watch. Or is this the writers’ way of signalling that the show’s end is in sight? I wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case. The story has been told umpteen number of times. Maybe it is time to lay the monsters to rest. For good.
