In India, it’s customary to take your shoes off before going inside a temple. But looking at the recent trend, I think it will be soon customary for the journos to do the same while attending the press conference! First it was George Bush and recently it was the turn of Home Minister P. Chidambaram to brave a "shoe attack".

You have got to hand it over to good old PC though for handling the situation coolly – right from pointedly staring at the shoe as it flew past him and landed on ground (was he trying to figure out the number?), to smiling and shaking his head before continuing with his conference. :-)

Also the joke about guessing the number - tired. Bush in his own press conference after the incident said 'it was not my size'.
